Breast Center opened
Awareness about cervical and breast cancers are low even
among educated women in the country, said G. Latha, Commissioner of
Coimbatore Corporation.
She was speaking at the
inaugural function of a Breast Center at Kovai Medical Center and
Hospital here on Thursday. She said that many women hesitate to undergo
health check ups to detect cancer.
Nalla G Palaniswami, chairman of the hospital, said that early detection was vital to effectively treat breast cancer.
