British Columbia panel meets MC officials
The members have come to India on a trade mission and last week they had also opened an office in Chandigarh as well so as to extend the business ties between Canada and India. The team is interested in investing in Indian market as well. But they are still exploring the areas of their interests.
The members said that they had wooed in excess in their region and hence were looking for a market to trade the same. In addition to this, even they are on a content finding mission so as to increase the exchange progrrames and even business between both countries, especially with Punjab.
The delegation included: Dev Hair – parliamentary secretary, British Columbia, Goerge Peary – Mayor of Abbotsford city in Canada, Moh Gill, deputy mayor, Jassi Sidhu – police commissioner, Frank – city manager and former MP Gulzar Singh Cheema. Senior deputy mayor Parveen Bansal, deputy mayor Sunita Aggarwal, executive engineer H.C Salaria attended the delegation.
It was an introductory session for the members and they extended invitation to the MC, Ludhiana, members to visit them so that ties could be strengthened further and hence something could be worked out.
