Builder fined Rs. 1 lakh
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), in its
drive against dengue, fined a well-known building firm Rs. 1 lakh for
not paying attention to mosquito breeding places on its premises.
BBMP’s
health officials on Friday inspected the construction site of Nitish
Estates on Residency Road and found there were many mosquito breeding
places on the premises (in the underground tank, big drain near workers’
toilets, etc). A press note said it was the duty of the firm to take
pre-emptive measures.
