BWSSB asks citizens to report water contamination
With summer being the season for the spread of
water-borne diseases, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board
(BWSSB) has appealed to people to report cases of water contamination to
it.
A press release said the BWSSB has a
well-equipped laboratory where samples from the jurisdiction of all the
85 service stations are being tested regularly.
Sample testing
“Every
week four water samples from different locations including public taps,
residential water points and ground level reservoirs (GLRs) from the
limits of each of the service stations are collected and tested. A total
of 1,360 samples are tested every month apart from nearly 600 tests
done in the mobile testing vehicles,” the press release issued here
added.
