BWSSB machines gear up to clear drains
The city’s sewage lines routinely get clogged, which causes sewage to flood the roads.
Not only does this cause inconvenience to the citizens, it also exposes them to health risks.
The only way to prevent this is by taking up routine unclogging exercises.
According
to a press release issued here on Sunday, the Bangalore Water Supply
and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will deploy 12 jetting and two sucking
machines to clear the sewage lines on Monday in Yelahanka New Town,
Yelahanka Old Town, Vidyaranyapura, Sahakarnagar, Jayanagar 4th Block,
Jayanagar 4thlock, Hombegowda Nagar and other areas under North 2 and
South West 4 subdivisions.
The citizens from these
areas may contact Chalapathi, Assistant Executive Engineer, North 2, on
9740984163, and Rajiv, Assistant Executive Engineer, South West 4, on
9945518971, to avail themselves of the service, the pres release added.
On
Tuesday, the 12 jetting and two sucking machines will be deployed in
areas coming under North 2 subdivision, including Yelahanka New Town,
Yelahanka Old Town, Vidyaranyapura and Sahakarnagar, and areas under
West 1 subdivision, including Magadi Road, Hosahalli Pump House and
Mysore Road.
