The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s (BWSSB) Sir M
Visvesvaraya Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) Theme Park received the
National Urban Water Award 2011-12 under the citizen service and
governance category.
The award will be handed over to BWSSB
officials by the Union Urban Development Minister at the National Urban
Water Award 2011-12 Ceremony, which will be organised at Vigyan Bhavan
in New Delhi shortly.
The rainwater harvesting theme park educates
people about various aspects of rain water harvesting, use, recycling
and reuse of water through demo models and is the first park of its kind
in the country.
