Call to harvest rainwater
In a bid to disseminate information on the
significance of rainwater harvesting, Tuticorin Corporation has
organised a programme here on Wednesday.
Students of
educational institutions congregated on the corporation office premises
and took out a rally to increase awareness among the public of
conserving the rainwater. The awareness rally was flagged off by Mayor
L.Sasikala Pushpa in the presence of Commissioner S.Madhumathi. The
Mayor said the student community could spread this vital message ahead
of the monsoons.
The rally started at the office premises on Palayamkottai Road and concluded at Tuticorin Old Corporation Office.
