Campaign to deal with stray animals in Mohali
A campaign will be launched in Mohali to deal with the problem of
stray cattle and dogs. At a meeting with the Municipal Corporation and
Greater Mohali Area Development Authority officials, Deputy Commissioner
Tejinderpal Singh Sidhu said a large number of accidents were being
caused due to stray cattle.

Also, it was suggested that owners of the stray cattle should be
penalised. He added the first segment of the cow ranch at Industrial
Area Phase One would be completed soon.
The cow ranch is being constructed in two segments and will have a capacity of around 400 cattle once it is completed.
Meanwhile, Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Dilraj Singh
said a separate dog pound would be constructed for stray dogs and a
campaign for their sterilization would begin soon.
