Civic body Executive Officer held taking bribe

A Vigilance case was registered against Abhimanyu Sethi, Executive Officer, Subarnapur Municipality, for demand of an illegal gratification of `5,000 from Bhagirathi Rana of Kumbharpada for passing the bill in connection with the construction of a house sanctioned under the Integrated Housing & Slum Development Project.
A trap was laid on Thursday by Vigilance officers and Sethi was caught red-handed in Hotel Tara at Subarnapur town after accepting bribe of `5,000 from Rana. He was then arrested by the Vigilance sleuths.
