Civic body secy meets MC staff to discuss problems
Ashok Gupta, secretary, civic body department on Wednesday held meetings with Municipal Corporation officials at Circuit House.
Gupta was apprised of various projects running in the city by
Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, especially about the fire wing which is
in shatters. “We told him that the city needs strong fire safety system
and he has assured us of upgradation of the present system very soon,”
said a Municipal Corporation official who attended the meeting.
Eight laning of Ferozepur road, pending indoor stadium, upcoming
outdoor advertising policy of Municipal Corporation and parking problem
in city were also discussed.
Reportedly, Municipal Corporation officials also told Gupta about
the financial crunch that the Municipal Corporation is facing. However,
Gupta said that he will discuss the matter with the ministry and
provide more funds soon.
