Civic body takes down 172 advertising banners
NASHIK: The anti-encroachment department of the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Tuesday removed around 172 advertising banners in the city.
The civic administration had recently started a drive against illegal
hoardings across the city and removed around 240 illegal hoardings in
the city. Now, a special drive has been launched to remove banners.

Speaking to TOI, senior official from NMC said, “We have launched a
drive against advertising banners. On Tuesday, we removed total 172
banners, including 62 banners in Panchavati division, 65 banners from
Nashik West and 45 banners from Satpur division. We will continue this
drive in the other three divisions- Nashik East, Nashik Road and New
Nashik divisions of NMC.”
“We also implemented anti-encroachment drive in Pavannagar area in New Nashik and seized three handcarts,” he added.
