The state government is preparing to conduct municipal elections
immediately after the polls to panchayat raj bodies. Sources said the
municipal polls will be held either in August or September. Chief
minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy held a review with municipal administration
minister M Maheedar Reddy and officials at the Secretariat on Thursday.
The
chief minister directed the officials to prepare for the elections to
municipal corporations and municipalities. Panchayat elections will be
completed by July 31. Later, elections will be conducted to zilla and
mandal parishads.
