Minister Jayalalithaa will lay the foundation stone for the new Salem
Corporation Building through video conferencing on Monday. Mayor S.
Soundappan said that the stone would be laid on the Hanging Garden at 11
a.m. “The Government has sanctioned Rs. 7.68 crore for the construction
of the Corporation building. Arrangements have been made to start the
work soon after the stone is laid,” he added.
