Corpn. begins to remove flex boards

: Civic authorities of Kochi have begun taking down flex boards and other illegal publicity materials form the city on Monday.

On day one, the target was flex boards of political parties. Around 400 boards were pulled down.

Later,
the publicity materials displayed at private holdings will also be
removed. The local body would impose fine on those failing to remove the
banned materials from private holdings, said a communication issued by
Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany.
