Corporation Commissioner to assume office soon
G. Latha will take charge as the Corporation
Commissioner very soon. The State Government on Tuesday issued an order
to this effect. Ms. Latha told

from Chennai that she would first call on the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and then decide on the date of joining.
Prior
to her appointment as the Commissioner, Ms. Latha was the General
Manager, Tamil Nadu Women Development Corporation. A native of
Kanchipuram, she joined the State Government soon after graduation in
2001 as a Group I officer. The Government posted her as the Revenue
Divisional Officer, Tiruttani. The Government conferred IAS on her on
December 31, 2012. She had also served in the Chennai Corporation in the
rank of District Revenue Officer.
