Corporation issues fiat on removal of hoardings
Special Correspondent
TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi Corporation has asked persons responsible for
putting up banners and hoardings by causing damage to roads to remove
the structures immediately.
In a statement here on Thursday, Corporation Commissioner
T.T.Balsamy, said hoardings and digital banners have been put in some
parts of the city.
Those who have put up the structures should immediately remove them.
If they fail to do so, the Corporation in coordination with the police
would pull them down without prior notice.
Legal action would be initiated against the violators, he said.
Mr.Balsamy said banners and hoardings could be put up as per the
norms laid down by the government without damaging the roads and causing
hindrance to traffic.
Such hoardings can be erected three days prior to a political event and should be removed after two days of the event.
