Chennai Corporation as a part of its SWM initiative has introduced a
bin tracking software which would ensure a timely pick up and clearing
of bins.

This is monitored by the Corporation through a
centralized monitoring facility. The photograph of the bins cleared are
taken and uploaded. The bins that have not been cleared on time are
coloured red which enables the Corporation to take timely remedial
action.

The Corporation has solicited active public participation to make the city garbage free through a public led monitoring system.
