Corporators demand speeding up of works
MIM floor Leader, Akbaruddin Owaisi said delay in completing these works was resulting in traffic jams and untold hardships to citizens.
The GHMC commissioner Sameer Sharma along with Owaisi, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Afsar Khan, Mozham Khan, Virasat Rasool Khan, Ahmed Balala and other MIM corporators their Assembly segments in South and Central Zones on Wednesday. They visited Nampally, Bahadurpura, Karwan, Charminar, Yakutpura, Chandrayangutta and Malakpet.
Owaisi reminded authorities that even after the MIM provided one-and-a-half acre land to widen the traffic junction in front of the Owaisi Hospital, works had not started yet. He also urged the Commissioner to construct the foot overbridge at Santhoshnagar crossroads.
He also underlined the urgent need to address the pending works at Afzalsagar Nala. Even after Rs 5.85 crore was earmarked for the project, works were yet to begin.
Other areas visited include Mehdipatnam, Guddimalkapur, Jirra, Asifnagar, Puranapul, Tadbun, Nasheman Nagar, Gowlipura, Santhoshnagar, Kaladera, Akbarbagh and New Malakpet. Sharma asked officials to complete ongoing works at Tadbun-Makkah Colony by the end of this year.
