Corporators hold mock council meeting

Sheshu Kumari, TDP corporator from Balkampet enacted the role of mayor, Sadashiv Yadav, Erragadda corporator acted as the GHMC commissioner and Jitta Rajashekar Reddy, Vanasthalipuram corporator acted as the secretary.

The mock meeting mainly targeted Karthika Reddy and her husband Banda Chandra Reddy, who was allegedly acting a ‘shadow’ Mayor and settling matters by sitting at Tarnaka Camp Office.

The meeting started with a question raised by Krishna Goud on nala cleaning for which officials informed Rs 9 crore had been sanctioned. Immediately, the acting mayor asked mockingly to the commissioner to send the chief engineer to camp office, Tarnaka to discuss the matter with one Konda Bhadra Reddy.

Several issues raised by the corporators and the acting mayor like bad roads, burial grounds development, establishment of Mahila Bhavans and streetlights.

Like the actual meeting, the mock mayor failed to give convincing replies leading to corporators raising slogans, forcing her to adjourn the meeting.
