DDA housing scheme closes

The Delhi Development Authority’s mega-housing scheme
2014, the biggest ever residential scheme launched by the land agency
till date, closed on Wednesday with 7.5 lakh applications having come in
for the 25,034 flats.

With as much as 22, 627 flats
on offer being one bedroom once, the response from middle-class buyers
was muted, especially since only 512 MIG flats were on offer. Moreover,
most of the flats are from the old inventory which includes surrendered
flats.
