Defence labs pay 6 crore property tax arrears
The GHMC’s property collection drive received a boost
with the south zone officials led by Zonal Commissioner N. Ravi Kiran
mopping up nearly Rs.6 crore from the defence labs on Monday. The
arrears have been pending since 2006 and persistent efforts put up by
officers V. Ashok, K. Arjun Rao and Sukanya and cooperation extended by
senior DRDL officials helped in the collection of the tax or service
charge. The service charges for DMRL, DLRL, DRDO and DRDL were to the
tune of Rs.5,98, 73,411. It included arrears of Rs.5,11, 57,151 and
current year tax of Rs.87,16,260.
