Directive to local bodies
A District Planning Committee meeting here on Monday
directed local bodies to utilise 90 per cent of the Plan funds before
February this year.
The meeting said though the
government had directed the local bodies to spend 60 per cent of the
funds by December last year, only 48 per cent could be spent.
District
panchayat president T.N. Khandamuthan said the government directive was
to spend 90 per cent of the Plan funds by February and the remaining 10
per cent in March. The meeting decided that the local bodies should
submit their annual Plan for 2014-15 for approval before January 31.
