Drive against encroachments on Vikas Marg
Encroachments, including illegally parked vehicles, on
Vikas Marg were removed on Monday in a drive to make the road accessible
for pedestrians.
The Delhi Government’s Public Works
Department, the East Delhi Municipal Corporation and the Traffic Police
carried out the drive, which included the towing away of vehicles and
issuance of challans to offenders.
Deputy
Commissioner (East) Kunal said this would not be a “one-day affair” as
such exercises would be repeated in the future . Preet Vihar
Sub-Divisional Magistrate C. Velmurugan supervised the removal drive.
