Drive to remove hoardings from today
Few days after the city was flooded with the hoardings of Harsimrat
Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia and other SAD leaders along with those of
Valmiki Shobha Yatra and even covered sign boards in city, additional
commissioner Isha Kalia on Wednesday held a meeting with religious and
political parties representatives at MC headquarters. SAD, Congress,
BJP, CPI, CPI(M) and BSP representatives attended the meeting.
She said, “They have assured us of maximum support in the issue
and we have informed them that from Thursday evening our drive to remove
all political and religious hoardings in city will start and thus they
should cooperate.” However, she added that such hoardings can be placed
at 21 sites earmarked for them.
