has asked its officers to start inquiry into the illegal mobile towers
which has been increasing day by day. Twice earlier, the committee had
asked for the same but officers did not pay any heed due to which there
is an increase in the number of illegal mobile towers.
A councillor,
Sanjay Kaushik, said: “I had raised the issue of illegal mobile towers
in the area twice earlier and had demanded their sealing but the
officers did not listen to me.” East Corporation Commissioner, Mr S
Kumarswamy, said during the unified Municipal Corporation, 880 mobile
towers had been installed of which 590 without permission. “We are
looking into the matter and soon we will take stern action against
illegal towers,” said Mr Kumarswamy.
