Evicted vendors stage protest

Vendors from Shivajinagar, Gandhinagar, Jayanagar and Ulsoor protested against the BBMP for taking away their livelihood.

The vendors had held a similar protest in October and were assured that a meeting would be held to resolve their issues. On Monday they alleged no official had spoken to them about it yet.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader in the BBMP council, M Nagaraj assured to fix a meeting on December 15.

The protestors demanded that they be given back the place they were evicted from and allotted 1 mX1 m space for each vendor and act in accordance with the Constitution, Supreme Court judgments and the national policy.

Also, they added that they would continue with their business from their respective places if they failed to get a response from the Palike.

Office shifted

The office of the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) (Leggere) Sub Division has been shifted to BBMP Rangamandira, B BMP Office, 2nd F Cross, 11th Block, Nagarbhavi II Phase, Banglaore-72.

New centre

A new BangaloreOne centre was inaugurated by Mayor S K Nataraj at Jayanagar 5th Block on Monday. BBMP Commissioner Siddaiah, Jayanagar MLA Vijaykumar were also present.
