Floral extravaganza draws to a close
The three-day Chrysanthemum Show organised by the Municipal Corporation at the Terraced Garden in Sector 33 concluded on Sunday.
A prize distribution function was held to honour the winners of various competitions. The prizes were given away by Mayor Kamlesh.
Virinder Singh, a resident of Sector 8, Panchkula, was awarded the title of King of the Show, Queen of the Show and Princess of the Show.
Arrangements by Regional Director of Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Sector 32, were awarded title of Prince of the Show. The institute also received the Best Flower of the Show award.
Chief Engineer S K Bansal, Senior Engineer (Building & Roads) Mukesh Anand, Senior Engineer (Public Health) R K Goyal, XEN Horticulture Arun Kumar Kansal and other councillors and officers of the corporation were also present on the occasion.
The officials said a stone etched with the names of martyrs from the city will be displayed in the garden.
