GHMC council meeting on December 21

HYDERABAD: The fourth ordinary meeting of the GHMC elected council
will be held on December 21, 10.30 a.m. at the head office. The meeting
was originally scheduled to be held on December 8 was postponed by Mayor
B. Kartika Reddy citing the forthcoming Assembly session leading to
protests from all political parties.
Meanwhile on Thursday, the Mayor held a meeting with top officials to
strengthen the security in the office and it was decided that the city
police commissioner would be requested to fill up vacant posts of an
Additional S.P., two sub inspectors and a platoon of APSP police.
She was informed by the Additional Commissioner (Vigilance) that a 16
member special protection force, 45 – member private security and four
home guards are working. Passes are to be issued to GHMC vehicles for
easy identification and no private vehicle would be allowed inside.
Municipal staff including officers must show their identity cards to the
security personal before entering, a press release said.
