GHMC slaps Rs. 50,000 penalty on builder
After
levying Rs. 8 lakh penalty on a builder for pumping out the cellar
seepage onto the roads, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
(GHMC), on Thursday, slapped a fine of Rs. 50,000 again on another
construction company for the same offence.

The builder, AMR
Constructions, owning the property on plot numbers 308 and 309 on Road
No. 25, Jubilee Hills, was allegedly letting out water from the building
onto the roads, damaging the BT road.
The violation was
apparently noticed by Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan
who were travelling that way on Thursday.
They directed the deputy
commissioner concerned to intiate action, who inspected the spot and
estimated the damage at Rs. 50,000.
