GHMC standing panel election on April 12
HYDERABAD: Elections to the Standing Committee of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will be held on April 12.
The GHMC Commissioner announced the election schedule here on Thursday. Accordingly, voters’ list consisting names of 150 ward members will be published on March 18, election notification will be published on March 22, nominations will be allowed to be filed before the Additional Commissioner (Elections) from March 23 to 31 from 11 am to 3 pm daily, excluding holidays on March 24 and 28. Scrutiny of nominations by the Commissioner will take place on April 3. Candidates can withdraw their nominations before 3 pm on April 6.
Final list of contesting candidates will be published on April 6. Polls will be held on April 12 between 10 am and 3 pm at the office of the Commissioner, GHMC followed by counting and declaration of results.
