Addressing
a gathering after inaugurating the central zone summer coaching camps
at Chaderghat here Thursday, Mayor M Majid Hussain said keeping in view
the recent violence against women, the GHMC had decided to teach
self-defence techniques to girls.

The GHMC is committed to start
training centres in colonies where women interested in the techniques
can put forward their proposals through their Residential Welfare
Associations.
