Govt, civic body identify areas for hawker rehab
Darjeeling, 12 December –
In a bid to reduce crowd congestion in some busiest roads of Darjeeling
created mainly by the street hawkers, the district administration and
Darjeeling municipality today made a first step of identifying locations
to permanently relocate the hawkers.
The plan is to rehabilitate more than 200 hawkers of the town established for more than 30 years, the administrator pointed.
