Guntur wins silver for e-governance
The State Government has announced Silver award for Guntur district
in e-Governance category for 2012-13 for successfully implementing
‘Sampoorna Vidya Darsini’ programme.
The district has bagged
another silver award for striving for achieving development through the
e-governance platform. Mr. Suresh Kumar stated in a press release that
the district got a total cash incentive of Rs. 4 lakh. The e-governance
awards were instituted by the Department of Information Technology &
Communications. Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy will be presenting
the awards to top officials representing the award-winning districts
soon. In the e-governance category, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water
Supply & Sewerage Board won the platinum award and ‘Marpu’ programme
of Karimnagar district got gold.
The awards are instituted by the Department of Information Technology & Communications.
