GVMC plans to build kalyanamandapam at Anakapalle
GVMC plan
GVMC proposes to construct a kalyanamandapam at Anakapalle, now a part of the corporation.
Land
of one acre has already been earmarked and a modern design and
estimates should be prepared, Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana
told officials on Wednesday.
Reviewing infrastructure
facilities at Anakapalle in his chambers, he said the Chief Minister
had laid foundation for a stadium and RDO office at a place where a
compost yard was located. Now a feasibility study has to be made to see
whether part of the site could be utilised for construction.
Though
there are resources to supply water for 24 hours at Anakapalle, only
3,000 of the 18,000 houses have tap connections. Since the town has a
distribution pipeline, tap connections should be given to households,
Mr. Satyanarayana instructed the officials.
