HC asks PMC to comply with court order

A division bench, comprising Chief Justice Rekha Manhar Lal Doshit and Justice Jyoti Saran, passed the order on the PIL of Chandrashekhar Kumar, who submitted that the unlicensed slaughter house was being run illegally despite an order of the HC passed in 2005 for its closure. The HC directed the PMC to report compliance of court order by November 26.
Directive to govt: The Patna HC on Monday directed the state government to state whether the private colleges come under the purview of vigilance department for investigation into irregularities in their functioning.
A division bench, comprising Justice Mridula Mishra and Justice Dharnidhar Jha, issued the directive while hearing a petition of Millat Teachers’ Training College challenging vigilance investigation into the affairs of more than a dozen private colleges running B.Ed courses.
