HDMC launches drive against tenants
Officials of the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation
(HDMC) sealed 13 shops at the super market complex here on Wednesday for
not paying the rent for last four years.
The HDMC
owns nearly 700 shops in the Super Market complex. While 80 per cent of
the tenants have paid the rent, 20 per cent are yet to do it. They did
not pay the arrears despite the HDMC issuing several reminders and
notices. Four of them paid the arrears.
Till Saturday
The
HDMC had given time till Saturday to clear all arrears failing to which
action would initiated against the tenants, the officials said.
