Health cards sought for municipal school teachers
A.P. United Teachers Federation members took out a rally
from the Zilla Parishad office to Kadapa Collectorate on Thursday
seeking extension of Employees Healthcare Fund scheme to aided and
municipal teachers.
The government issued G.O.s 184
and 186 granting cashless health cards to employees, teachers and
pensioners but it did not cover aided and municipal teachers, APUTF
district general secretary B. Lakshmi Raja said. He warned of an
agitation if the demands were not met.
APUTF leaders Subba Reddy, Ganganna, Gangi Reddy, Mastan Basha, Sankar and others participated in the protest rally.
