The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will impose huge
penalties against those who litter the main roads. Throwing garbage on
roads is highly objectionable. Even the building owners while
constructing buildings dump the construction material on roads causing
inconvenience to the people, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said during
Prajavani programme here on Monday.
The commissioner appealed to
the citizens to cooperate with the GHMC in making the city clean, green
and beautiful by not littering the garbage or debris on the main roads.
The commissioner said imposing penalty is not to harass the public but to send a message to be more responsible citizens.
