‘Hold GHMC council meet on December 8’

In view of the Assembly session from December 10, the Mayor has  postponed the meeting by another few weeks as officials would be busy in giving replies on civic issues raised by MLAs.

TDP floor Leader Singireddy Srinivas Reddy said several developmental activities had come to a standstill and the meeting would enable corporators to represent grievances outstanding in their wards.

He wanted the mayor not to postpone the meeting. MIM floor leader Saleem Baig said they would resort to agitations if the meeting is not held on December 8.

BJP floor leader Bangari Prakash there were number of public grievances to be sorted out and valid decisions had to be taken in the proposed meeting.

The meeting fixed for December 8 cannot be postponed as it duly informed all corporators.

The BJP also threatened to take up agitation if the meeting was postponed.

The mayor said the meeting had to be postponed in view of the ensuing Assembly session and it would be convened after the session got over.
