The Hudco award of Poverty Eradication Mission for best practices in
slum improvement through community network was received by Kudumbasree
executive director K B Valsala Kumari from Union Minister of Housing and
Urban Poverty Alleviation A K Misra.
The award consists of Rs 1
lakh, citation and plaque. The award was for the Management Information
System developed for the implementation of Rajeev Awaz Yogana. The
Management Information System was developed by the experts at the RAY
Cell of Kudumbasree.
Already, Kudumbasree had won 13 awards
including the Hudco award for best practices in slum improvement through
community network in 2012. It was assessed that the projects of
Kudumbasree had helped in improving basic facilities at slum areas.
The
activities of Rajeev Awaz Yogana was made available to the technical
experts through online. The details will also be available at the State
IT Mission which will be monitored and steps would be taken for the
implementation.
