With city remaining calm, the police are considering relaxing the curfew imposed in 25 police station limits during day time.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, police commissioner AK Khan said there were no fresh incidents of violence in the city. In all, 183 people have been arrested and around 130 injured since the violence broke out on Saturday night.
Old City, however, continues to suffer as various services, including supply of milk, were hit due to the curfew.
Meanwhile, chief minister K Rosaiah reviewed the law and order situation. He asked a team comprising district collector Navin Mittal, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation commissioner Sameer Sharma and other officials to ensure supply of milk, drinking water, essential commodities, vegetables and medicines in the curfew-hit areas.
“We have to identify the mischievous elements creating problems,” the chief minister said. He asked the police to constantly monitor the Old City areas and act firmly with trouble-makers.
Home minister P Sabitha Reddy, information and tourism minister Geeta Reddy and others attended the meeting.
