2 VMC schools adopted
VIJAYAWADA: City-based Anantalakshmi Seva Samiti has adopted two Vijayawada Municipal Corporation schools under VMC's ‘Badi Nirmiddam' programme. The Samiti distributed over 1,000 notebooks to students of Tammina Durga Rao Municipal Corporation Elementary School at Vijayadurga Nagar on Monday. Samiti representative Appalraju said another set of 500 books would be handed over to the school. In addition, school uniforms, shoes and plates would also be provided to students. He said the Samiti would also adoptMK Baig School at Ajit Singh Nagar. Similarly, Government Polytechnic retired principal Y.K.V.P. Sarma donated 100 steel plates to students of VMC High School located in Patamatalanka.
