E-learning centre opened in municipal school

VIJAYAWADA: The State government will accord top priority to strengthening of science education in government schools at standards that are in no way inferior to those in corporate schools, says Animal Husbandry Minister K. Parthasarathy.
He was participating in the inauguration of e-learning centre at M.K. Baig Municipal High School at Ajit Singh Nagar on Friday. The centre was constructed at a cost of Rs.11.30 lakhs. Mr. Parthasarathy and Minister for Arogyasri P. Satyanarayana inaugurated the centre.
The Minister said that the government would provide all facilities for computer training for students of government schools from primary classes itself. Almost all upper primary government schools in the district were equipped with computer centres. He asked the officials to ensure that the centre was utilised by the students of municipal schools of surrounding areas. District Collector Peeyush Kumar said that basic infrastructure would be provided under Rajiv Vidya Mission.
