Budget date to be postponed?
BANGALORE: Speculations continue to surround the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahangara Palike (BBMP) as sources have said that the budget that was supposed to be unveiled on August 16 will now be presented after August 21.Sources told Express that the date to present the budget was being moved ahead to accommodate the BJP’s Samavesha, that is scheduled to be held on August 14 in Mysore and on August 20 in Bellary.
JD(S) floor leader in the BBMP council, Padmanabha Reddy had earlier, stated his doubts on the commitment of the ruling party and their obligation to present the budget on time.
He had also said that he would garland the Mayor, if the budget would be presented on August 16.
