BWSSB fixes problem
A day after The Hindu published a photograph of an overflowing sewage chamber on Goods Shed Road, near Majestic, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board claimed that it has fixed the problem.
The BWSSB said in a release that the manholes and pipelines were replaced along with the damaged lid. The release said that the lid of the manhole had got damaged due to heavy pressure because the road sees heavy vehicular movement.
The sewage overflow had been causing inconvenience to commuters on this arterial road for over two weeks.
