The case has been posted for Wednesday for their reply. The petitioner, K K Noushad, proprietor of Real Advertisers, had filed the petition on Monday challenging the alleged illegalities of the fresh tender and praying for quashing the tender by the Kochi Corporation for the construction of modern bus shelters and display of advertisements at the bus shelters.

The petition was filed after expresso brought the issue to the limelight. expresso had on April 5 published a news report on the amendment made in the tender form and inclusion of an additional condition - the construction of urinals - at the bus shelters.

Many private agencies had opposed the move and said it was not at all practical.
