Collector visits old Bhopal to earmark parking placesStaff Reporter | Bhopal
In the bid to provide parking places in old Bhopal, District Collector Nikunj Shrivastava on Wednesday visited Budhwara, Machhali Market, Itawara, Manglawara and Jumerati localities to earmark places where parking could be developed. Many other officials of PWD and district administration accompanied him.
Shrivastava further directed officials of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) to start the Machhali Market soon and also to maintain cleanliness in the markets.
Expressing annoyance over the encroachment by roadside vendors in Azad Market, he directed officials to remove encroachment soon.
He further instructed officials to remove outdated vehicles, parked roadside obstructing traffic. He also directed them to use tiles interlocking in the repairing of parking places in sub-stations of Ibrahimpura and Aliganj and said that businessmen would also be benefited with the good parking places.
During his visit, Shrivastava directed officials of BMC to remove encroachments soon from the main market and if anybody was found doing encroachment, strict action should be taken against him.
