MC team seals Hotel Batra, J Sons on Ferozepur road

The Ludhiana MC on Thursday came down heavily on commercial buildings on Ferozepur road which failed to make their own parking arrangements and clear service lanes on the main road despite prior notices.

As a result of an inspection carried out by the MC team, two buildings, Hotel Batra and J Sons, a garment shop, were sealed.

As per the High Court orders, all establishments on Ferozepur road were served with prior notices for three days. The deadline was extended for around two days but these two commercial buildings failed to clear service lanes.

Rajinder Sharma, assistant town planner, Zone D, who led the inspection drive, told Ludhiana Newsline, "We only abided by HC orders and sealed buildings not following HC directions."
