Municipal chairman inspects street lights

The newly-elected Municipal chairman Anjali Kumari on Monday inspected the street lights of the town area. During this inspection visit she talked with the residents of different wards and tried to know about the condition of street lights in their areas.

On many spots she found fused bulbs, wire cuts and minor faults due to which the street lights were not working for last two to six months.

She took it seriously, when it came to her knowledge lights of NH 33, the lifeline of Jharkhand which crosses Hazaribagh town, is in bad shape for long. She ordered the Hazaribagh Municipal Council to initiate required measures within a week.

Anjali said that through this road thousands of passengers of other places passes through Hazaribagh everyday and dark streets create a bad impression of the town. During this inspection vice chairman Anand Dev, ward councilors Kamal Gope, Rekha Singh, Anupam Sinha and others were also with her.

After taking stock of the situation of the street lights of the town she directed the special officer of municipal council to arrange necessary items as soon as possible so that in monsoon the residents of Hazaribagh should avail this facility which is necessary.
