BMC squad razes 3 constructions at Ashoka Garden during its drive

The BMC anti-encroachment squad razed three illegally constructed structures including two foundation pillars in the Ashoka Garden area on Saturday. The illegal constructions were razed in the presence of police force and the locals along with the plot owner at Roop Nagar. The plot owner Shehjadi Beghum’s relative engaged in an altercation with the Tehsildar and BMC officials which was pacified after the intervention of the police.

Tehsildar Mukul Gupta supervising the drive told ‘The Pioneer’ that the illegal constructions were raised on Government land and without obtaining any kind of permission. 

Mukesh Batham of anti-encroachment squad told that the persons involved in illegal construction were warned and notices were served to the shop owners who have built shops roadside on the government land few days back. Two illegally raised foundation structures at Roop Nagar were demolished by the squad during the operation.

A part of a four storey building was being constructed without obtaining requisite permission was razed and a portion encroached by the building in front of the shops in the building was also demolished The owner of the building Ramakant Chourasia told that he had applied for the building permission for construction on the fourth floor, but it is still awaited.
